At present, China's construction machinery parts industry has formed a "dependent" development model based on the whole machine. The structure of this model is a framework with the whole machine enterprise as the core and the multi-layer parts enterprise surrounding. Its shape is similar to an arrow target: the bull's eye is the whole machine production enterprise; the second ring is the core parts enterprise; the third ring is the backbone parts enterprise; the fourth ring is the cooperative enterprise. This kind of parts development model is closely related to the development status of China's construction machinery production enterprises. Like the production of construction machinery, most of them rely on local protection policies, asset integration or business collectivization to form a fixed cooperative relationship to maintain survival or obtain higher profits. However, with the development of market economy, domestic enterprises face to face with multinational giants more and more opportunities, how to occupy a place in the fierce market competition, is the most important problem we face, the new situation of production and sales of products must also have new ideas.
After China's accession to the WTO, multinational machine and parts manufacturers have also accelerated the pace of entering China. At the same time, many well-known construction machinery manufacturers continue to reduce the rate of self-production of parts and reduce the number of cooperative manufacturers, gradually adopt the international comparative procurement principle, and implement the strategy of global production and global procurement, from the original procurement from multiple parts manufacturers to a small number of system suppliers, from single parts procurement to module procurement, from domestic procurement to global procurement. The change of investment strategy of multinational enterprises and the development trend of parts industry make the original "dependent" development mode of domestic construction machinery industry have been greatly challenged, and other development modes have to be considered.
Six other development models: 1. completely out of the parent model
Completely breaking away from the parent model is to allow qualified parts factories to be completely separated from the complete machine enterprises, and truly become an independent enterprise with independent research and development capabilities that can support a variety of models or multiple complete machine enterprises. The advantages of this model are: it can reduce the self-control rate of the whole machine enterprise, reduce the investment in developing new products and expanding production scale, and improve the market adaptability. It is conducive to the specialized division of labor of parts and components enterprises and the expansion of production scale; it is conducive to the formation and improvement of product development capabilities of parts and components enterprises and the reduction of dependence on complete machine enterprises; it is conducive to the absorption of external capital and technology by parts and components enterprises and the formulation of independent development strategies to support multiple models and manufacturers.
2. specialization model
This model is based on the principle of high specialization, with high market share as the goal, relying on advanced technology and process equipment, the pursuit of economies of scale in the development of auto parts enterprises, which is China's parts industry as early as the country's "Ninth Five-Year Plan" The development model has been proposed in the development plan. Its advantages are: fewer types of parts produced, high degree of specialization and serialization, advanced technology and equipment, low product cost and high market share, which is conducive to the realization of economies of scale.
3. joint venture model
The joint venture model is an equity-based cooperation between the two parties in order to obtain some synergy. Not limited to Sino-foreign joint ventures, different domestic industries, different regions and different ownership enterprises can enter the construction machinery parts industry through joint ventures. In particular, the cooperation between private enterprises and OEMs to develop the construction machinery parts industry will have certain advantages in reducing costs.
4. rely on technological innovation model
Relying on technological innovation mode is to take technological innovation ability as the core competitiveness, rely on talent advantages and capital investment to continuously develop high value-added products, so as to enhance the ability of multi-model and multi-manufacturer supporting and expand market share. The principles that parts companies that choose this model should adhere to are: high value-added products, specialized research fields, advanced basic research, and continuous capital investment.
